Can anyone else fact check this?

Torgo thinks he may have a mistake to correct here.

Is the 25 story crucifix part of the Ave Maria town plan?

Anybody seen it in public print anywhere?

On a tangent, it is interesting to consider the engineering that would need to go into such a thing that tall in hurricane alley. The crash and slide scenario is enough to make your head spin.

I believe it was part of the plan up in Michigan, which might have been a contributing factor in building there.

Yeah, AnAMSOLGrad talked about that last year:

The question is whether it is a part of the plan for Florida.

Ummm....Why does Torgo feel it is necessary to talk in the third person, its kind of annoying. Maybe its just me.

Obviously, the other anonymous has never seen "Manos, Hands of Fate"... Torgo always speaks in 3rd person...

I believe the 250 foot cross was only planned for Michigan, and was largely responsible for the zoning board refusing to allow Monaghan to build on Domino's Farms. It should also be noted that Monaghan proposed building the new AMC campus between the two existing Dominos Farms office buildings thereby connecting them.

Tell me- would you approve any plan that proposed a 25 story crucifix and a university nestled in the middle of an enormous office complex? Monaghan and his backers don't like to admit it, but this is why they were denied zoning, which I might add was a relief to me at the time b/c the plans were stupid, just like the original Naples chapel design.

Florida land is VERY soft, and southern Florida is notorious for sinkholes. The 25-story cross could very quickly become a 2-story one.
